As part of our continued efforts to develop authentic and immersive tourism experiences in Mbeya, the management of Chikanda Safaris & Adventure, led by our Director Amos Asajile, together with Tour Guide Godwin Mwambaja, recently visited Raha Wine in Rungwe District, Mbeya Region.
The visit was part of our initiative to further develop our Banana Tour Experience by connecting visitors with the complete journey of one of Rungwe’s most important agricultural products from the farm to the final product.
Through this experience, visitors will have the opportunity to explore local banana farms, learn about banana cultivation and the communities that depend on it, participate in local food preparation and tasting, and discover how bananas can be transformed into wine through a visit to a local winery.
Our goal is to create an experience that goes beyond sightseeing by bringing together agriculture, local culture, food, craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and tourism.
From the fertile farms of Rungwe to the production process at a local winery, the Banana to Wine Experience offers visitors an opportunity to discover, taste and appreciate the value of locally grown bananas in a completely different way.
