Overview
Mpalano festival is an annual Traditional event organized with the intention of celebrating our roots by bringing The Traditional dances, Local Artist, Popular bands and cultures together in a non-formal way promoting cultural exchange and tourist attractions. This vibrant event also provides local artists with a unique platform to showcase their art to a global audience.
Background
The festival was founded in 2022 with the aim of celebrating the diverse culture of the city; this remarkable event began as a one day event where by 800+ visitors and 15 exhibitors participated. On 2023 the festival expanded into a mult day celebration with over 1500 visitors and 30 exhibitors around the region, On 2023 we skipped because our organizer was part of the organizing committee of wiki ya mnyakyusa that was held at Makumbusho Dar es Salaam, on this year 2025 the festival will be held on dd/mm/yy 06-07/07/2025 at the shores of Lake Nyasa (Matema Beach) With the aim of attracting more than 2500 visitors.
